Never Opening Doors

It seems like sometimes I don't know what to do with my time. My mind races in so many directions. No matter how many times I ask God what I'm suppose to be doing, it seems like sit and wait is the answer. That's fine, but I still feel like I'm wasting time.

My current thought is I pray, make an attempt at something, and if it doesn't pan out I know God doesn't want that for me. So instead of "...when He closes one door, He opens another," I'm choosing "...sometimes He doesn't open the door." That means I have to move along and choose another door. Or who knows, I may have to go through the window or be lowered through the roof. Anyway, I do know I'll end up wherever God wants me. I always do!

Ending up anyway where God wants us is a great approach! As it is true. Afterall He is all knowing. Blessings!

This is my first visit to your blog. It will not be my last, I am sure.

Colleen @ Thoughts on Grace has an "open door" with a kindly invitation *wink* for those wishing to visit. Anywho...all I can to this post is...lover-ly!!!

It seems God has been saying the same things to me.

"Be still, My child."
"Wait."
"Stop being so impatient. You must learn to just sit and listen to me."
"I am giving you the gift of rest, why won't you take it?"
"Child, where are you going? Why are you hurrying along when I told you to sit down."

He is so very gentle and kind. The "resting" is actually an answer to prayer...I'm quite "hard-headed" (as my mama would say *smile*).

I would like your permission to write this on an index card to carry in my pocket, as a reminder from Father God.

With Kindness,
Paula
